What is Sculptra Aesthetic?
This dermal filler is an injectable form of poly-L-lactic acid that stimulates the natural collagen production in the body. Sculptra can be used to reduce the visible signs of age, restore facial volume, and improve the appearance of chin wrinkles, marionette lines, and nasolabial folds.
How many treatments will I need?
In order to achieve optimal results, most patients require at least three to four injection sessions. The number of injection sessions needed to achieve maximum results can vary from patient to patient. We will create a personalized treatment plan to best fit your needs and help you achieve optimal results.
When will I see results?
This injectable dermal filler yields gradual results that develop as new collagen forms. With time, you will notice gradual improvement in the treated area and most patients begin to see noticeable improvement after their third injection session. Results of Sculptra can last for up to two years. Results may vary from patient to patient.
What are the potential side effects?
Some patients may experience temporary, injection-related side effects, including bruising, redness, swelling, pain and/or discomfort at the injection site. These side effects are generally mild and usually resolve on their own within a few days of an injection session.
Am I a candidate?
Men and women who are in good overall health and are interested in reducing the visible effects of age are good candidates for this aesthetic treatment. We will review your general health, medical history, and treatment goals and determine if Sculptra is the right injectable dermal filler for you. If you are a candidate for this aesthetic treatment, we will recommend a customized treatment plan to best fit your aesthetic goals.
