What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

This is a fast motion, one-minute video demonstrating the steps of a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). Initially, suction assisted liposuction is performed at the abdomen, flanks and inner thighs. The suction pressure is set at low to prevent damage to the fat cells. The fat is suctioned into a closed system, which preserves the fat cells and prevents desiccation or drying out of the fat cells. The patient is then turned over to expose the back. Further liposuction is performed of the upper and lower back including the areas above the buttocks. The waistline is trimmed aggressively which contributes to the aesthetic re-shaping of the lower body. Also, further liposuction of the posterior thighs is performed.

Next, the fat is rinsed and separated from the other components in the closed system. The fat is then injected into the buttocks via a large, blunt cannula using low pressure. The fat is delivered evenly and uniformly into the buttocks and gluteus muscle. Care is taken not to angle the cannula deep, avoiding injury to deep vessels. The fat transfer to the buttocks results in a rounded enhanced appearance with improved projection. If desired, some fat is also filled into the lateral thigh hollowness, to help get a beautiful female body curvature. There is virtually no scarring with this procedure. The small nick incisions for the liposuction become imperceptible once healed.
