Proper nutrition, an exercise routine, and skincare are all things we use to try and look our best. Many people work for years to try and sculpt their bodies the way they want while being as healthy as possible. That being said, there are genetic limitations to how you can shape your body. That’s why many women decide that procedures like a Brazilian butt lift are right for them. You may have heard the term BBL or Brazilian butt lift, but what exactly is a BBL, and what does the process look like?
What Is a BBL?
A BBL, Brazilian butt lift, is a cosmetic surgery designed to increase the shape, volume, and overall size of the buttocks while keeping a natural look and without implants. This is done through a process called fat transferring. Fat transfer is performed by a liposuction device, removing fat from a selected area in the body. Then, your own body fat is then repurposed to your buttocks and shaped by your surgeon. This is done with multiple small incisions and is as minimally invasive as possible. This has the added bonus of contouring the body wherever the fat was removed from. The fat transfer process allows your results to feel and look natural. That’s because nothing artificial was used, and it is as if your body naturally grew the tissue.]
BBL Process
The overall procedure is done in three primary steps. First, fat is extracted from a donor site. You will have a discussion with your surgeon before surgery on where the fat will be removed from. Second, the removed fat will be purified. The fat is processed before putting it back into the body by decanting and centrifugation to remove debris, dead cells, and excess liquid from the fat. Lastly, the fat is then added back to the body in the buttocks and shaped appropriately to the desired shape.
